Sigh.. Wanted to blog yesterday, everything type nice nice, den accidentally cancelled the page. SO DUMB! >.<>
.
Ok. Shall attempt to blog again. Hurhur. Tho it happened like 2 weeks ago, heres the update of the Cambodia trip!!
.

Day ONE in Cambodia. The FIRST day we experienced the scorching sun on our skins. Hurhur. It was really hot la. And the air particles there are really still!
.
But as the days go by, we got used to the weather larh. And we had much more stuff to keep our minds occupied than thinking about the heat! Hehheh!.
.

TONLE SAP - A river in Cambodia. We went on the river boat journey that took approx 2 hours. They brought us to see the river life of some of the residents who LIVES there. Practically in houses, no.. rooms, with 3 walls. No door, no 4th wall. Dont rmb see-ing a toilet as well. Made us realise how luck we actually are. But hey. I find that the residents there smile! They smile more sincerely and happily than those in the city. Thats the only point that consoled me about thier living condition.
.
Ok people. >.<> As I dont have a camera, what I could use is my cell cam! And, it wasnt with me everyday.(actually it was only with me on the first day) T.T So. These are all the pics I have abt cambodia! Hehheh. Shall kope more from sheena soon to post. =P.
.
On 19th march, when the trip ended for the sgporeans, the jap came along to sg! They were to stay here for abt 2 days b4 flying back. So, we hosted 2 of them! Akiko n Yuko. They're so cute la. And they're custom makes them so poilte, neat, gentle and nice.
.

Super cool! The Daily Bread - Jap vers. My eng vers is at the side. I could read a bit of the words. Hurhur. 神さまの祝福がありますよに!Such a long sentence, actually just means 'God bless you'. Haahaa!
.
But hey. Aint it just cool! 8 nations all at cambodia, forming close bonds not only amongst ourselves despite the cultural and language differences, but also forming bonds with the street kids there. Somethhing about these street kids. They're actually kids forced by their harsh living conditions to come out and sell stuff to tourist. Some of them are even the sole breadwinner of their family! At such a young age! We had activities 3 hours everyday for 3 days which we invited them to join. The activities actually are just simple activites like lunch, followed by random games (dog-n-bone, n their traditional game! etc.). First day, we had thai food! The thai group prepared a DELICIOUS meal. Rice and some gravy wif meat and veggies etc. Woah it was NICE! Thanks people! HURHUR. And after which we heard Poi discuss in our international group: 'I felt so happy to be able to give them some meat to eat. Cause they usually dont get to eat meat.' >.<> 2nd day, JAP FOOD! Ok personally I prefer jap food larh hurhur! It was nice! Onigiris + skewered meat n mushroom on sticks! We saw how Gaku took piles of cooked rice n 捏 them into rice balls. So fast! N the rice balls came out so neat! But whoo! It was such a filling meal! Hurhur. Thanks guys! It was super nice la. 3rd day, the sg n m'sia team made rendang! Hurhur. WAHHHH it was such a tough job. But God blessed n guided us through it la. LOL. Through the many difficulties n screw ups. (like rice cooker breakdown, no rice. >.<>) But all in all, it was nice, that we could make lunch for them.
.
From day 1, we expected like. even 20 kids would be good. But. came 30!! HURHUR so nice la! I mean. Every minute out there is time for them to sell, every min they may make 2 US dollars, which can be food to their family for days. Why did n why will they sacrifice THREE whole hours?! Ok we made it up to them with the lunch. But they could make money more than what they gained from the lunch. And, ALL (i tink) stayed even AFTER the lunch to play games b4 leaving. We even extended out of the 3 hours. Some of them just didnt wanna go.
.
Day 2. We had 40 kids!! WOO. It was such a blessing to have them there. I think the reason why we attracted them, is because we gave them something they dont usually experience. We sincerely gave them, our heart. We didnt wanna buy their stuff (for a v good reason.). Also we didnt wan their minds to be focused on selling, instead of fun. Many of us struggled with ourselves to tell them: 'no. we cnt buy ur things. but. u come wif us tml ok? we'll treat u to lunch'.
.
Day 3. We had. EIGHTY-SEVEN KIDS!!!!! SIAO!!!! Even more than us 72 alr. And that day was the day the sg n thai team made lunch. No wonder I felt I almost 挂掉. Our hands, non-stop packing rendang lunchboxes. Kevin n I were in charge of kiap-ing up rendang wif our chopsticks, rationing it as we go along, while sheena threw luncheon meat n cucumber on the box. jiani then threw half an egg on, and Eion then slapped chilli, rendang sauce, and ikan billis on. The others then gave it out. This went on for like 2 hours. T.T But it was so fruitful. We saw them all happily eating the rendang. They came to tell us it was good too!!
.
These hours with them. I feel so happy and so pleased to be able to provide them with these 3 hours daily. See-ing them run and play and laugh, another side of them other than the side of them when they become businessmen, talking to tourists, trying to sell their stuff. In the 3 hours, they became kids again. God blessed us with the chance to give them that 3 hours.
.
It was soooo hard to sayh goodbye. Tears streamed from all the kids's eyes. The ones who could hang out more often, about 15 of them. Their ears sparked a lot of our tears too. Even some of the stronger guys in our team broke down. Wahaahaa quite funny to see leh. They holding their tears. Ahem sorry its not good to laugh. Well. I my tear glands actually got stimulated by ben's (hes a street kids whose house we went to cos he opened it to us.) sentence. He was hugging Joel (one of our team leaders) and crying and he said: 'U dont go. If u go I have no more friends.'
.
I mean. That sentence is so strong. 15 years of his life, he felt that he didnt have a fren, until now? *tears* Im glad. to be able to form these bonds with them, these frenship wif them we have. As Jonathan said: 'although we're not wif u physically, we have a common fren who loves us and will never leave us. His name is Jesus Christ.'
