Like what happened yesterday. My first ever also my last A division squash tournament match! It was against VJC. Emily's school. Hurhur. 5 players to play out of 7. My captain put me to play against VJC. OHMAN. But nvm. I was gonna xi shen xiao wo wan cheng da wo! But my lot didnt put me against the captain of VJC! Instead pearline got xi shen-ed. >.< Nevermind. Then began the exciting match.

Wah first match so exciting le. Pearline agains VJC captain. OH NO. Shes v good. The captain. Pearline was stressed. Under stress! I see her come out super stressed and a bit teary eyed. I felt so >.< She still WHACK BANG! Did her best. WOAH. Lost. But we super proud of her. She was so brave! Round of applause please!

2nd went Jessie. No stress and calm. All her fears well kept. She knows we're depending on her to win. WOAH SUPER NICE GAME! Beautifully won! Super proud of you!. Opponent run back, she drop, opponent run front, she drives!! How much attention do you need to do that! I will focus too much on the ball to think about where I should aim lor! Super smart girl. No wonder in 4 subs class. WON! Super elated.

Evelyn's match. This will take long to say.
She went in super stressed and nervous. Know why? She cant lose. SHe decides whether we win VJC ornot. The final match is super winnable cause our placing was quite correct, Our captain was placed last and just nice their last girl not VERY strong. (still strong tho) So Evelyn had a lot of stress. SHe lost the first set and came out trembling. We jia-yo d her and she went in. Lost another set. I felt her hand trembling lor! We told her to relax and said it was really okay, just play your best. It was quite difficult to get it back le. Like 2 sets gone, quite hard to get back 3 sets at a go hor? But wait! She didnt give up. NOT AT ALL. She went in wiith sheer determination. AND PLAYED! Won the third set!! We were so happy that she was back to herself! The other team thought: 'ok now this one cnt let her win if not die le' . we thought: 'another 2 more. difficult! can she can she?' We jia-yo d her and sent her in. She was smiling!
She played. on par. opponent lead! OH NO. on par. eyelyn lead! YES! opponent catched up! score 8-8!!!! last ball, eve called for 2 balls. means play to 10 instead of the usual 9. VJ to serve. BAM! eve stretch! bounce, opponent caught! eve hit! close! it went past! the opponent!
AHHHHHHHH we screamed and crossed fingers and smiled like mad.
one more ball. eve to serve. BAM! SUPER BEAUTIFUL! the BEAUTIFUL-EST serve I ever saw eve serve!! BAM! the ball went all the way to the back and hitted the glass wall and bounced out in an awkward angle. Opponent made a swipe and missed.
THAT WAS IT. The whole yio chu kang sports complex was filled with tpjc's cheers for a few seconds! We screamed and jumped for joy like mad! Okay maybe we overeacted but try being in our spots! A totally turn of scores is so hard to get. Oh my gosh then I see her walk our with that big grin. Oh man as I'm typing now i oso quite teary eyed le lor. Sheer determination worked wonders. she was so determined to get it back for us. SO SUPER proud of her. We started tearing and hugging her. Xinyi too! >.< So so so so so P.R.O.U.D of her. Her opponent played a beautiful match with her. Her opponent never gave up too. SO proud of them too. Thats super sportsmanship.

Then came Janice's match. Okay now I super admire this VJ girl that played against her too. They were already discussing and we overheard that they too, knew that eve's match was the deciding one. But this girl never gave up. She went in and gave her best. Janice la! She so super happy over eve then went in and underperformed for the first 2 sets. Okay I understand her stress. Your teammate (eve) went in and did so super well and gave so super much to win that unwinnable match. what if u lose that winnable match?' tats super stressful right! but her skills are good one la. Despite the many wasted balls that she usually had no prob facing, she still won the first set. lost the 2nd one tho, composed herself and won the next 2. Now thats the GLAM janice we know! SO WE WON!

we had a super nice match and it was super nice to play with you all. Your skills are good and the team is really good too. Like good! Just that we were luckier in our placing. Just nice. Thanks for the wonderful experience! Three cheers to VJC squash girls! (p.s the girls are really pretty as rumoured! but tpjc squash boys, too bad we forgot to take pics with them!)
